DVD Review - Roy Buchanan - 'Live From Austin Texas'

Read DVD Shop DVD Review - Roy Buchanan - 'Live From Austin Texas'

Roy Buchanan was a consummate guitarist's guitarist who influenced countless contemporaries and latter day disciples, including Jeff Beck, Robbie Robertson, Billy Gibbons, and Danny Gatton. With his mastery of chicken pickin', violin-like volume swells, and screaming pinch harmonics, he spoke through the instrument like few players have before or since.

The DVD begins with "Roy's Bluz," a slow tune whose lyrics tell an evil tale of betrayal and revenge. During the solo, Buchanan combines rapid right hand tremolo picking with over the fingerboard fretting to execute a manic staccato run. Later, he takes a drink of beer while yawning with a look of detached amusement as his left hand articulates an effortless legato lick.

Next is "Soul Dressing," a funky Booker T. & the MG's minor key instrumental. Bass player John Harrison and drummer Byrd Foster do their best Donald "Duck" Dunn and Al Jackson impressions, while Malcolm Lukens adds Booker T. Jones approved organ grinding and Buchanan solos like Steve Cropper on steroids.

Buchanan and the band mellow down easy on an instrumental version of Don Gibson's "Sweet Dreams." Meandering through the major key melody, Roy pulls touch harmonics and behind the nut bending from his endless bag of tricks to hypnotize the audience into a dreamlike trance with this bittersweet, lyrical lullaby.

The mood turns deadly serious with "Hey Joe," a dark, dramatic, re-imagined rendition of the classic rock standard made famous by Jimi Hendrix. Buchanan shows his sense of humor with an oriental phrase during the verse that momentarily breaks the tension. His solo starts slowly, increases in intensity, and finishes with a flourish while the crowd cheers its approval. Roy tacks on a coda with the riff from "Foxey Lady," a nod to the genius of the Stratocaster master.

"The Messiah Will Come Again" starts with a soft-spoken introductory sermon. Then the captive congregation applauds in recognition as Roy breaks into the song's beautiful, haunting melody. Buchanan displays his full range of technique and emotion, employing soulful bends, otherworldly vibrato, and an off the fretboard cascade of chromaticism to punctuate this spiritual psalm of Telecaster transcendence.

While he didn't receive the recognition deserving of his incredible talent, "Live from Austin Texas" serves as a testament to Roy Buchanan's contributions to the guitar vocabulary, earning him the title of "The World's Greatest Unknown Guitarist."

Get Paid to Shop - Can You Really Get Paid to Shop?

Read DVD Shop Get Paid to Shop - Can You Really Get Paid to Shop?

If you are asking yourself, is it possible to get paid to shop, then you should read on. I had the horrible luck of having had to work in retail for over 20 years. And all the while, the possibility loomed that someone was going to walk into the store who looked like a customer, acted like a customer, but was not a customer. That person was being paid to shop.

He or she would look around, make a purchase, ask a question. Did everything that a normal shopper would do except that after they bought something, they would go back to the car and make notes and submit a report.

"Being shopped" was our slang for our imminent visit by a mystery shopper. We always knew it would happen and it helped keep us on our toes. But what we did not know was that whatever they bought, they could keep. It was all paid for by the company they worked for. Then they would go for a pizza. Paid for by the company, all they had to do was look like a customer, act like a customer, then write their report and get paid. They would even get reimbursed for the pizza.

Well, it sounded like a good deal to me too, so I signed up with such a company. The best part was that I was not tied to one company. I was free to work for as many companies as were willing to hire me. I ended up with three, that was all I could handle at the time. Each company saw it as a benefit that I was willing to work for other companies, they considered it good practice.

I had a number of assignments, shopping for cell phone service, DVD player, I got a number of CD's for free, as well as pizza and beer. There are even people who are going on cruises for free. Yes, you can get paid to shop.

How Blockbuster DVD Rental is Changing

Read DVD Shop How Blockbuster DVD Rental is Changing

Blockbuster had small beginnings. The first Blockbuster store was opened in 1985 by founder Dave Cook. They grew the business by establishing market niches such as large number of copies of a single movie, highly visible stores, and a larger selection of movie titles. This helped them achieve 27% market share in the United States and over 6,500 stores. Being the big guy on the block has recently created some tough competition.

The start up known as Netflix has exploded into the DVD rental scene in the last five years. Its model has been based on purely online DVD rental. You go to their website and select from their thousands of titles and they mail them to you. You then watch your selection and send it back in the prepaid envelope that is provided. They offered no late fees meaning you could keep the movies as long as you would like. This gave them an immediate competitive advantage and had adverse effects for blockbuster. Since revenue was consistently generated by late fees, Blockbuster had a serious issue to contend with.

The reaction of Blockbuster to Netflix was to form their own online DVD rental program called Blockbuster Total access. It is similar to Netflix and prompted the company to sue Blockbuster on patent infringement.

Blockbuster Total Access allows DVD renters to choose from several different plans. They all include DVD sent to you through the mail along with the postage fee envelope to send them back. The different plans allow for you to have a different number of DVD's at any given time and one other option, in-store exchanges.

In-store exchanges could be the competitive advantage Blockbuster DVD rental needs. If you compare to their rival Netflix, they do not have the infrastructure. There are over 6500 Blockbuster store in the US. What in-store exchanges do for the customer is two fold. The first is the fact customer will get movies that they sometimes do not like and with Blockbuster DVD rental they now have the option to quickly exchange the movies at their local store. The second is the fact movies in the mail only come on business days. Come the weekend if you have not received your new titles you might be without a new movie to watch in your free time. In-store exchanges are again the solution.

Blockbuster is still behind the curve in online DVD rental, but with competition of Netflix they have tried to adjust their business model. Only time will tell on who will come out on top.

What is HD DVD?

Read DVD Shop What is HD DVD?

HD DVD stands for High Definition Digital Versatile Disc. It is a round and thin disc that looks almost exactly like a CD or DVD. It is actually very similar to CDs and DVDs in all aspects except one. The difference is that a HD DVD can hold much more information than the CD/DVDs of the past. The way they packed more information into the same space mainly comes from the color of the laser that is used to read the disc. HD DVDs are read by a blue-violet laser beam instead of the traditional red beam. The blue-violet color has a shorter wavelength that makes it capable of focusing on a smaller more precise area. That way you can just stuff all of the information closer together on the same size disc.

How much more information? An HD DVD holds about 3 times more information than a DVD. With this extra space you can fit HD quality movies and sound. Specifically a 720p/1080i resolution picture vs. a 480i movie on a DVD. A disc can hold any other type of information besides movies, but video is the most popular use for a DVD world wide. This is why many companies are competing to release home theater HD DVD players. Paramount Pictures, Warner Bros. and Universal Studios have already released lists of titles that will be available on HD DVD. Toshiba has already announced two players that it will manufacture. HD DVD is in direct competition with Blu-Ray, which implements a similar technology that is not compatible. Blu-Ray was developed by Sony and is backed by the Blu-Ray Association including Apple, Hitachi, Dell, HP, LG, JVC, Panasonic, Mitsubishi, Pioneer, Phillips, Samsung, Sharp, TDK, Thomson and Sony. Both technologies have similar launch dates and offer similar features.

HD DVD players will utilize a new kind of cable called HDMI for transmitting digital picture and sound. This cable has multiple wires for both video and audio that ensures the clearest quality. The use of one wire for both video and audio creates less clutter than previous technology. The players will also feature s-video and component connections to offer a wide range of usage capabilities.

DVD Burning - Can I Legally?

Read DVD Shop DVD Burning - Can I Legally?

There are legal aspects regarding burning or copying of DVD movies. A DVD you have purchased can be copied for backup purposes, which is legal. Evading or breaking the encryption of a commercially produced DVD is illegal. Certainly making copies of a commercially produced DVD then reselling them on the street, Internet, or wherever, is most assuredly illegal.

Many DVD burning software products available for purchase and reviewed on "DVD burning software review" do not offer any of the circumvention techniques used by the movie-pirate set. Here are some terms and details to look for: Content Scramble System is just one way Digital Rights Management attempts to thwart the illegal copying of a DVD as well as the use of an illegally copied DVD. Digital Rights Management bypass is an example of an illegal though widely used circumvention technique.

Digital Rights Management refers to technologies of access control by the manufacturers of hardware and software, publishers and copyright holders in attempting to control the usage and illegal distribution of their digital content and devices.

This term describes any technology designed to discourage the use of unauthorized digital content (DVD movies, for example) and devices (iPhones, for example) Digital Rights Management does not usually refer to other forms of copy protection that can be circumvented without modifying the file or device, for example, serial numbers or key files.

Finding the technology to circumvent the Content Scramble System on your personal DVD is readily available which in turn makes the practice of digital rights management seem rather ineffective. Advocates however, such as studios, manufacturers of hardware/software, or recording artists argue that to "maintain artistic integrity" it is necessary for copyright holders to ensure continued revenue streams and to prevent unauthorized duplication of their work.

Or as opponents claim - Digital Rights Management methods are a form of anti-competitive customs.

The reality is that most, if not all of the widely used Digital Rights Management systems have been circumvented and broken when deployed to enough customers. Restricting the copying of audio and visual material is very difficult due to what is known as the "analog hole". There are suggestions that effective Digital Rights Management is logistically impossible for this reason but proponents keep trying and winning lawsuits as well.

Analog hole or as it is sometimes referred to, analog loophole describes a vulnerability in some digital works such as DVD movies that allows the digital work to be converted from digital to analog and back to digital, there is no stopping the copying that can be done after that.

Let us now discuss fair use doctrine. Fair use is the part of United States copyright law that allows a limited use of copyrighted material without the copier having to first apply for permission from the rights holders. As good old Wikipedia puts it, "fair use is commonly misunderstood because of its deliberate ambiguity." This just means that the writers of the law meant for it to be confusing and lawsuit friendly.

What does "fair use" from a consumer standpoint mean? Fair use assures that you can legally make one copy of a lawfully purchased DVD movie for personal backup.

Where to Buy the Insanity Workout DVD?

Read DVD Shop Where to Buy the Insanity Workout DVD?

If you are certain that you want to buy the Insanity Workout DVD, there are a couple of good ideas as to where you can find the DVD at the lowest possible cost. First of all, make sure that you are not copying the DVD from the internet for free or anything like that, because that is illegal and not necessary, since the weight loss DVD costs around 20 or 30 dollars.

The first place you can look for this DVD, if you happen to go there any time soon, is the local supermarket, on the DVD stand. They should have it there and for a reasonable price. If it costs anything more than 40 dollars, please avoid buying the Insanity Workout DVD.

If you can find it there, the next option should be the internet. You can actually order the DVD from the manufacturer and producer of the method directly, which also means that you will benefit from the lowest possible price. They usually have the DVD in stock and you can surely have it shipped in a couple of business days.

Remember, buy this DVD and make sure that it is the original copy as there have been some people and stores trying to sell a copy of the DVD and not the original. Also, as mentioned earlier, try to find the best price before purchasing the DVD. Do not, in any case, pay more than 40 dollars for it. Other than that, just enjoy this great slimming method.

Dallas (Season 3) DVD Review

Read DVD Shop Dallas (Season 3) DVD Review

Nominated for 18 Emmys and 15 Golden Globes in its thirteen season run, Dallas is the epitome of the prime-time drama/soap opera genre. Premiering in 1978 as a five part mini-series, the show combines the usual sex and innuendo of classic afternoon soap operas with the freewheeling adventure of Texas wildcats and filthy rich capitalist oil barons. The combination of business dealings and rampant affairs tested well with both the male and female demographic, prompting CBS to make Dallas a regular part of its prime-time lineup. The result was one of the most successful television shows in history. In fact, the so-called 'Who shot J.R.?" episode ("A House Divided" Air Date: 3-21-1980) still reigns as the second most watched TV show in history (the season finale of MASH is #1). With one of most memorable characters ever created (the man everybody loves to hate), it's no surprise that Dallas held the #1 or #2 spot in the Nielsen ratings for most of the 1980s...

The Dallas (Season 3) DVD features a number of exciting episodes including the season premiere "What Ever Happened to Baby John" in which Sue Ellen returns to Southfork after recovering from the previous season's car wreck and delivering the Ewing's first grandson, John Ross. But Sue Ellen is not joyous. In fact, she sinks into a deep depression marked by bouts of alcoholism. Meanwhile, J.R. has taken on a talented lawyer, Alan Beam, as his understudy... John Ross remains in the hospital, recovering from his premature birth, until the family learns that he's been kidnapped.

Everyone offers a theory on who did it, but it takes Pam's powers of observation to solve the mystery... Other notable episodes from Season 3 include "Ellie Saves the Day" in which the family learns of J.R.'s devious plan to mortgage Southfork in order to drill for oil in Asia, and "A House Divided" in which J.R.'s crooked deal of selling the rights to Ewing Oil's Asian wells to his friends (because he knew they would soon be nationalized) comes back to haunt him when the season finale ends with his being shot in the most famous cliffhanger in television history...

Below is a list of episodes included on the Dallas (Season 3) DVD:

Expat Life in Sri Lanka, Colombo

Read DVD Shop Expat Life in Sri Lanka, Colombo

I recently visited the wonderful island of Sri Lanka, and found a country full of surprises.

Sri Lanka is situated just south of India, in the Indian Ocean. Once known as the Dominium of Ceylon and often referred to as the tea country, tea plantations abundantly thrive across the island, with spice gardens, banana and coconut palms growing randomly to create a jungle of natural resources.

People, animals and transport seem to co-exist side by side with no animosity towards each other. Dogs wonder aimlessly across or bask in the sun at the side of roads, cows and goats roam around everywhere, even on the beaches (which I found rather amusing) and people are everywhere, whether walking, cycling, using a tuc-tuc, motorbike with 5 astride, in a taxi, bus, car or truck, each takes up a space of the not too wide road. But co-exist they do, there is no anger at being stuck behind a truck, merely a short hooting of the horn to say I am here and would like to pass, politeness abounds and the expression and sounds are all of friendliness, within a country that sorely needs help at redeveloping itself since the tsunami. People are poor and yet happiness is everywhere.... Not just for the child on the hip or the person at their side, but for expats and tourists as well.

Tourists fluctuate towards the resorts and some chance the areas slightly outside of these areas, to experience a quieter less harassed holiday. Small pockets of expats can be found, dotted all over the country. When you bump into these people and chat about life on the island, there is not much to complain about. Yes, sometimes the water gets turned off or the electricity, yes the internet is not as fast as they would like it to be. Isn't that how most people feel in developed countries anyway: The faster it gets the faster we want it. In this little piece of paradise, expats are not too concerned that it takes a little longer to do things here, the people are prepared to wait, not too hasty to move forward too quickly. There was a lot of talk and concern about the elections and safety within the country and there are still road blockades and police / army personnel with guns wandering around keeping peace if necessary. However, with 70% of the population being Buddhists, the lifestyle is peaceful and life simplistic.

From an expat perspective, I could not fault the lifestyle. As said above, yes there are definite things missing, things are slower, it takes a good 4 - 6 hours to get from Colombo to Galle and similarly to anywhere about 200km's apart. I cannot say that the roads are particularly in good condition, but in the 10 days that I visited, I did not see one accident. Hardships could include the lack of being able to get from one part of the island to another quickly, the lack of fast internet connection, perhaps the human waste / refuse, which allows for the influx of flies, the dirt which is left to lie around and lastly the lack of funds to rebuild the country to what it was before the Tsunami.

Having said that, I have to look at all the good things that you find there, the beauty of the natural resources, how the nationals and expats are trying to rebuild the country, the beaches, game parks and mountains. This is truly a beautiful part of the world.

Expat Cost of living summary

Blu-Ray Supersedes the DVD-R Media Revolution

Read DVD Shop Blu-Ray Supersedes the DVD-R Media Revolution

Most of us have some passing familiarity with the term DVD. The first DVD R format was released in 1997 and had 3.5 GB disc capacity. With advances in electronics and technology, the format has now developed to a capacity of 4.7GB.

What Is DVD?

The abbreviation DVD stands for Digital Versatile/Video Disc and DVD-R media stands for DVD recordable. If you have acquired a new computer that has a DVD burner you may be trying to figure out which kind of blank discs you must use. There are many versions available in the market such as the DVD-R and the DVD-RW and also the 'plus' and 'minus' versions. With so many different DVD formats in the market, the right choice appears elusive.

A Brief on Different DVD-R Media Types

DVD-R is a write once format, which simply means that once you have burnt some data, the disc is forever frozen with that information. When W is suffixed to the abbreviation, it means you can erase and rewrite information 1000 times on the disc. This is certainly a significant advantage. Another format DVD - RAM t is even more accommodating. It lets you erase and rewrite sections of a disc.

Things appear to be get more perplexing when you read the '+' and '-'signs. What do DVD+RW mean? The 'plus' discs have the same capacity as the 'minus' ones. The only difference is that the 'plus' discs have greater IQ. This means DVD+RW writes faster, has better interlinking and lets you drag and drop desk tops files on the disc. It is important to remember that if your computer is compatible with DW -R or DW -RW then the '+' formats will not help you as these will not work with your drive.

Blu-Ray Media

DVD-R media has now been superseded by the Blu-ray Disc. This disc is 12 cm in diameter similar to the DVD discs but packs 25GB per layer. Blu-ray Disc Association jointly developed this optical disc format in conjunction with the world's leading consumer electronics, computer and media manufacturers. While DVD-R media relies on red laser to read and write data, Blu-ray uses the blue-violet laser. The key benefit of Blu-ray is the shorter wavelength of the blue-violet laser when compared to the red one in DVD-R media. This enables data to be packed much more tightly resulting in higher capacity of Blu-ray discs. Pioneer has recently developed a single Blu-ray disc having a capacity of 500 GB built-up on 20 layers. This extra capacity has thrown up the possibility of offering consumers an unmatched HD experience.

Blu-ray discs have already worked wonders. The list of the 3D releases in 2010 include Alice in Wonderland, Avatar, Bolt, The Last Air bender, Monster House, and Step Up 3D to name a few. Fans can look forward to release of the following movies during March this year.

* Yogi Bear
* The Chronicles of Narnia
* Tangled

Blu-ray media has been touted as the true successor to DVD-R media with most of the studios announcing that all new releases henceforth will be on the discs.

Online DVD Rental - Blockbuster Vs Netflix

Read DVD Shop Online DVD Rental - Blockbuster Vs Netflix

This is often the conflict consumers are left with when determining which way to rent and watch DVDs. Blockbuster is mostly recognized for having thousands of retail stores throughout the country and Netflix is an online DVD rental house. Blockbuster actually has joined the game of online DVD rental and now the two are in fierce competition to gain subscribers to each of their online DVD rental programs. So which one is better? Well, there is no real answer to this but your preferences. Each is covered and the benefits are listed to make the choice easier.

Netflix is the oldest online DVD rental service and is the most recognized. Blockbuster is a bit newer and has a lot of the same features as Netflix. Each offers DVDs deliver to your door in one to two days. Shipping is free and there are no late fees. This a monthly charge as a subscription. The movie watching is unlimited with almost all plans. Cost differs on how many DVDs the plan allows at one time.

Blockbuster has two advantages. The first is the number of plans offered. There are a total of eleven different plans for consumers to choose from. This makes it customizable to the consumer's movie watching habits. The second unique selling point for Blockbuster is the use of their thousands of locations in their online DVD rental program. Blockbuster offers in-store exchanges of DVDs. This is something Netflix could never offer since the lack of infrastructure.

Netflix has two advantages as well. The first is the selection. They are well above their competition offering over 100,000 titles. Blockbuster has over 80,000 titles, but Netflix takes it the next level in selection. The second is the ability to stream content direct to your computer. Netflix offers over 20,000 different titles ready to be stream any time you want. This is the equivalent of Blockbuster's in-store exchanges. It allows consumers to fill that need for something different than what was received in the mail.

To choose goes beyond these two advantages from each. The decision of how each meets your needs is the prime factor. If watching on programming your computer is not the preferred method of entertainment then in-store exchanges could help you make up your mind. If never having to leave your home for your entertainment then Netflix could meet your needs. Compare each and see what will work best for you.

Online DVD rental has two major competitors, Blockbuster and Netflix. Read about how they are similar and have two advantages in their offerings.

How to Start an Online Store Selling The Best Selling Products Online

Read DVD Shop How to Start an Online Store Selling The Best Selling Products Online

Starting an online store selling the best selling products online is much more easier than what most people seem to realize, if you know how to do it in a step-by-step format.

But before you start your online business and create your company name you need to first determine which products you’re going to sell online.

This way you can give your company a name which may be related to your product line(s) and a name that tells your customers exactly what it is that you are offering on your estore.

The following product lines are the best selling products online according to the NRF/Forrester Online Retail Index, The NPD Group, The Media Metrix Online Shopping Index and other statistics providers.

Top selling products in order are:

1-Books

2-Computer Hardware and Software

3-Apparel

4-Toys

5-Video Games

6-Video Game Systems

7-Videos

8-DVD’s

9-Health and Beauty products

10-Consumer Electronics

11-Music

12-Jewelry

13-Office Supplies

14-Linens

15-Home Décor

16-Flowers

17-Sporting Goods

18-Footwear

19-Appliances

20-Tools and Garden

21-Gifts.

Then try to pick a niche product within a niche product line.

For example; Instead of selling all types of books, which is the number one selling product on the Internet, you would specialize in selling a certain category of books such as the best web design books.

Another example would be computer products. Instead of building an online super-store selling all types of computer products you would focus on a niche hot market such as digital cameras.

Lets break these steps down a little further:

1.Create your company name.

Do not make the common mistake of creating a business name too quickly and without thought. This is an important decision that takes careful consideration. You'll want to select a name that should reflect the main product line or service of your new online store.

Do not use your own name in your business name. Make your name descriptive so that it advertises your products, or at least relates to your products or services.

2.Register your name.

3.Form your business structure; Sole Proprietorship.

Next, move is to check on the names' availability. Contact the name search department within the Department Of Corporations for your state.

Next, select a type of legal structure for your business. There are basically three types of business structures: Sole Proprietorship, Corporation and Partnership. Sole Proprietorship being the easiest and quickest to form. Complete explanation of all of these terms can be found at [http://www.estorefronguide.com]

4.Obtain your business/occupational license.

(Only if needed in your county) Business licenses are generally issued through the city and/or county clerks office where you will need to fill out and submit an application.

5.Obtaining your resellers license (sales tax license).

Now you'll head on over to your local State Revenue Department (IRS) to apply for your tax license, which is also known as your resellers license or dealers license.

This tax license, (resellers license), gives you the privilege to buy at wholesale from genuine wholesale distributors and sell at retail to the public. You will also have the responsibility of collecting sales tax from consumers for sales
made within your home state.

6.Choose a top-selling, niche-product market.

Choose a product line from the list above and possibly dive deeper to find your niche market. When choosing your niche market, ask yourself if there is a certain type of product that you may already be educated in or a product line that you find interesting to learn about.

It always works best when you are selling a product that you enjoy. A complete list of top selling products and subcategories can be found at [http://www.estorefronguide.com]

7.Get signed up with the distributors for those products.

It’s always a good idea to be signed up with at least 3 to 4 full-line major distributors. A complete list of the best wholesale distributors and drop-shippers can be found at
[http://www.estorefronguide.com]

8.Read and learn as much as you can about those products.

This can be done by simply reading magazines and books which expound on your products. You can also visit the manufactures website and read more specific details about those same products as well.

9.Build your own e-store or have a design firm build it for you.

Building your own online store with FrontPage, Dreamweaver or an Adobe web dev program is the best way to go.

Most if not all service providers who offer online stores will build a database driven website which calls up the product pages on the fly, meaning you do not have a web site with many pages but instead you have a system that makes up the pages as the customers click for that product page, which is very convenient of course.

However, the problem with that type of online store is that you do not have each product page created specifically for that product and therefore the search engines will see your online store as a one to 4 page web site and not a content-rich online store with many product pages which in turn will not earn your e-store a good position with the search engines.

With a data base driven online store you can not get indexed for each product you sell because you can not create a separate page for each product and submit those pages to the search engines or allow for the spider of the search engine to index those distinctive pages.

However, an online store that has many pages, also known as a static web page web site, allows you to make a web page for each product giving the search engines more pages to feed their search engine database and helping your customers find your site when they are looking for that product.

It's less complicated than what it sounds. But suffice it to say that it is much more better for you to build your own site, even using a professional template such as those found on TemplateMonster.com. other template providers can be found at [http://www.inet-start.com] under free and low cost web site templates.

10.Choosing your domain name.

Try to choose and register a domain name that has your most important keyword in it and your company name combined which should already be a part of your name. Always try to choose a dot.com and not a .net or .org. e.i.

11.Register your domain name

The best place to register your domain name would be with GoDaddy.com http://www.godaddy.com

12.Choose a web hosting provider and a hosting plan.

You can find a list of the top web hosting providers with the best and most affordable web hosting packages at [http://www.inet-start.com] under free and low cost web hosting.

13.Choose your web development software.

Most people choose Microsoft FrontPage, Dreamweaver or any Adobe web development program. A complete list of programs which allow you to build online stores can be found at
[http://www.estorefronguide.com]

14.Start building your online store.

This is much more easier than what it sounds. All you have to do is design the first page one time by using your own template design or by visiting http://www.templatemonster.com

Then from there all you will need to do is add the product details and images and save each page as the name of that product. Once you build your first specification page then the rest of them will be easy to duplicate within minutes.

15.Set up your merchant account.

Most merchant account basically offer the same rates. Some offer free set up and good rates which is always the best way to go. You can find a helpful list of the best free and low cost merchant accounts here [http://www.inet-start.com]

16.Complete your online store.
17.Promote, market and advertise your e-store.

Marketing is the hardest part but if one attacks this process in every angle possible then you are more than likely to truly succeed. Meaning...

You must execute every means of effective internet marketing techniques: search engine optimization, link building, keywords, articles, press releases, creating your own news letter and collecting subscribers, Email marketing, participating in forums etc...

You have to learn and do the best you can in all of these marketing areas to truly make some serious money online.

18.Then wait for the orders to start rollin in.

Of course it's not that simple but it can be if you just take it one step at a time. Write a simple step-by-step business plan just as what you see here. Then follow each step and then scratch it off of your list as you complete it. Before you know it you'll be taking your first order.

Flirty Girl Fitness DVD Reviews

Read DVD Shop Flirty Girl Fitness DVD Reviews

Flirty Girl Fitness is a really hot new trend in women's fitness and I'm here to admit that I almost didn't notice it. Considering the nature of this workout it seems almost impossible that it nearly slipped by but I'm here to tell you that I think this concept is a winner. Well, for some people.

First let me say that I discovered Flirty Girl through an As Seen On TV commercial which at first I believed was some kind of spoof. The premise of Flirty Girl Fitness is creating thorough full body workouts and delivering them in a sexy package. There are Chair Dancing, Pole Dancing and Booty Dancing routines which will whip you into shape. But for most of us, this is a very non traditional approach to fitness. So my first thought after seeing the video was, "will real women feel comfortable doing this?" The simple answer is who knows?

If you base your answer of the success of Flirty Girl Fitness Chicago, then the answer is an astounding yes! Flirty Girl Fitness Chicago is a women only health club catering to members looking for a shift from the traditional Club. It hardly looks like a gym and really appears to be more of a women's social club more than anything else. But that is in appearance only. If you are able to look past the full liquor bar, you will find women of all shapes and sizes workout in a very comfortable environment which addresses all their fitness issues. Keep in mind that although the exercise routines are sexy, they are based on core strength training and flexibility. When you watch a DVD, and hopefully participate, there will be no mistake that you are there for a serious workout. However, the home program is designed to shake things up to ensure viewers won't get bored with their routines and this done by disguising hardcore exercise with some "soft core" choreography.

But seriously, if you're a woman who needs to loose 50lbs, 5lbs or just tone up, there is something for you within the DVD program. The instruction is thorough and you'll find yourself learning some really great dance moves. Here's how it works.

You order the program for .99 plus about shipping and handling and receive 2 DVDs, the booty dance and chair dance, plus a bonus booklet and additional free Video Vixen DVD. Then every other month you participate in the Preview Program where you get to try out other DVDs and get free bonus gifts. This ensures you get fresh routines and never get bored. There's a full money back guarantee so you can withdraw from the preview program at any time.

The DVDs are really quite good and you can find previews if you search for them online. Personally, I feel you can get most of the fitness benefit in the first DVDs and if you are not easily bored, you might just like to learn the routines and keep doing them. There is plenty of work and dance included in every section so collecting a ton of workout routines might be overkill for some people.

Oliver Twist

Read DVD Shop Oliver Twist

The original story of Oliver Twist by Dickens is bit sombre and negative. A poor boy works in a workhouse where he is subjected to abuse. He is later surrounded by thieves in London and other boys from similar deprived backgrounds. It saddens the heart and allows one to think only of greed, poverty, corruption and perceived power.

Yet on closer inspection, the film is actually rather positive. Directed by Roman Polanski the film is a classic. Oliver Twist is a boy - an orphan- of innocence. he is forced to labor and work for the benefit of others on virtually no sustenance. He and his fellows draw straws to see who will ask for more gruel - Oliver loss. To cut a long story short - and to encourage you to watch the film - Oliver is sent away and meets the Artful Dodger - and so the story unfolds.

There are certainly lots of very catchy and energetic songs which will have you and your children singing for months to come. Indeed, there are plenty of children in the cast as a whole, and the theme is lightened with songs such as "Food, Glorious Food" and "Consider Yourself." The parts of Fagin and Bill Sikes are played by adults and they give an admirable account of themselves.

The backdrop of London locations adds to the whole atmosphere of poverty and jollity; and even though the film is over two hours long, somehow it doesn't feel as though it drags at all. A must see classic for all.

Now, if you PS3 is no longer covered by the warranty, you still have options. You can still bring it to your nearest Sony service station and have them fix it for you. The going rate for repairs is around 0.

You can also try these steps:
• Turn off your PS3, then start
• Remove the cables and put them back again
• Make sure there are no loose cables
• Turn it back on

You can also
• Check your PS3 lens. It might be dirty. If so, then you have to get a lens cleaner and run it through just as you would with a CD or DVD driver

To explain what has happened to your PS3: the problem is with the Blue Ray lens controller. This is why the display suddenly shuts down, and is unable to read any game, no matter what you do. There is a best option you can try is to download a PS3 Repair Guide.

The PS3 Repair guide will also help you fix the most common PS3 Yellow Light of death problem or PS3 YLoD. Would you believe you can even install an operating system like Linux? With a free Linux operating system, you will be able to use your PS3 and make it work to run like a computer. Naturally, if you have never used the free O/S from Linux, then you will have to start getting familiar with its applications and programs.

Copy Protected DVD

Read DVD Shop Copy Protected DVD

DVD movies are guarded by a CSS (content scrambling system) encryption code, a security developed and used by Hollywood as a defense against movie piracy. In simple terms, CSS encrypts data on the DVD with a special key able to unscramble it. The key is not a secret to DVD playing software developers who need it to read the information on the software.

CSS protection uses a 40-bit encryption. In simple terms, copies cannot be played, as the key will be missing. The key is not writable on DVD-RW or DVD-R discs. The Digital Millennium Copyright Act guarded against the distribution of illegal players, with the intention of eradicating the menace of copying. Therefore, it would seem there is no such thing as a DVD copy.

However, the protection proved incompetent. The CSS encryption code was cracked, which subsequently spawned a number of other DVD copying software. CSS protection apart, Macrovision has come up with their form of protection against copying that can also be found on VHS tapes. However, advances like this are not always universally applied, so there are some compatibility issues cropping up.

There are several software programs that can successfully decode the CSS encryption. One is the DVD decrypter that not only removes the protection, but also gives the user the luxury of ripping specific portions off the movie. Plus, it can copy them to a DVD recordable.

AnyDVD is another software application that can remove the protection. Unlike the DVD decrypter, AnyDVD allows the user to rip and burn directly.

Ab Doer Twist Reviews - Don't Buy Until You Read This!

Read DVD Shop Ab Doer Twist Reviews - Don't Buy Until You Read This!

First came the Ab Doer and now comes the Ab Doer Twist. The Ab Doer Twist incorporates a 360 degree movement and patented "Torsion-Flex" technology which targets muscles most other ab machines can't.

Not only does this machine focus on the abdominals and obliques, but also the hips, buttocks, inner and outer thighs, legs, and hamstrings. Tone your muscles while getting an aerobic workout, all from a sitting position.

By using the ergonomically designed contoured arm bars you will also tone the muscles of your biceps, triceps, chest, shoulders, and upper back. Simply rotate the arms upward and downward and receive a complete full body workout.

Let's take a look at all of the Ab Doer Twist features.

An advanced Torsion-Flex technology works hard-to-reach "metabolically active" muscles in your hips, inner and outer thighs, and even buttocks. The arm bars are contoured which encourages toning of the upper body muscles (biceps, triceps, shoulders, chest, and upper back). It features a massage roller which provides an amazing therapeutic massage with every repetition. This ab machine is made of heavy-gauge steel making it durable and solid. It also comes with 4 workout DVD's, 2 workout booklets, and the "Healthy Eating Plan".

Pros

Along with ab muscle toning, you will also get an aerobic workout, all while seated! Your body is fully supported and anatomically aligned, allowing you to use your muscles in a more effective manner. Its contouring arms result in less pain and less stress to the neck, shoulders, upper back, wrists, hands, and elbows. This ab machine is easy to assemble, and when your workout is complete, you can simply fold the Ab Doer down and easily store it away.

Cons

If you are at an advanced fitness level, you may need to purchase the multiple resistance rods to provide even more resistance and a more challenging core workout. Another option is to simply do MORE reps for a similar benefit.

The Ab Doer Twist is for:

1. Anyone from a beginner to the athlete.
2. Those who wish to combine an aerobic routine with an engaging abdominal workout.
3. People who are tired of kneeling on the floor and straining their neck doing crunches and sit ups.

Overall, this is a very well designed ab machine. The anatomically correct positioning minimizes pain and stress which allows for an efficient workout, meaning you will get better results in less time. To achieve the best results with any abdominal workout machine you will need to add some sort of cardio routine. With the Ab Doer Twist you will get aerobic exercise as well as a targeted abdominal and oblique workout.

Some of you may find that you will arrive at a point where you may desire more resistance from your machine. You can purchase multiple resistance rods for an even more challenging overall body workout. Because there is an additional price for the rods, I gave a slightly lower score on my review. Lastly, I liked that this machine allows you to sit in a comfortable position while getting in shape, in a relatively small work space. Remember, consistent effort will produce amazing results!

In-car DVD players are the current new toy in the in-car technology market. There a number of varieties on offer, including portable DVD players, in-dash players and stand alone players. The latter is far by the easiest to add to your car, as you don't have to fit any new components. Yet, there is still some wiring required when hooking up a screen to a stand alone player.

Hooking up screens can be quite difficult for those not familiar with installing electronics, yet, it still can be done. Here are a few tips to help you install that screen in the head rest...

Read the manual: Although new components are not needed, you will however be expected to hook it up to a power supply and the DVD player, so make sure you read the installation manual for the screen and the your new stand alone player. Before you install the screen, make sure you have on you screws, wires and at least a medium strength adhesive.

Leave plenty of time: It's important to set aside a day or so to complete this task so that it is done to the best of your abilities.

Be tidy: It's important to keep your wires tidy as you will be fitting a lot of wires. First of all, you will have to remove the fitted headrest and then run the power and connection wires down the hole, so be careful not to mix these wires up.

Keeping the equipment and tools in order is also a good way to minimise the risk of losing parts and tools. It speeds up the process, as well as minimising the risk of you connecting the wrong parts together.

Tidy the wires away: If you want to run the wires under the car's carpet, so that no wires are visible, this can be done by removing the seat cushion, if removable, by pulling the wire through and then finally running it under the carpet. This then can be connected to the power supply and DVD player.

Hooking a standalone DVD player is much easier than installing an in-dash player, but you still must be very careful when installing this player, as it is still very easy to lose parts and connect the wrong parts together.

Your Baby Can Read Review - Does it Really Work?

Read DVD Shop Your Baby Can Read Review - Does it Really Work?

A child's ability to read is often a measure of mental development, and the pace at which this ability occurs is perhaps one of the most important concerns of his or her parents. A lot of us do not set certain goals, and just expect a child to develop reading skills. But, what if these sought after skills don't develop at the desired rate when left to chance? What if a child enters the school system with a reading deficiency, rather than the expected proficiency that so many parents desire?

Thus you shouldn't be surprised by the interest generated by a system like Your Baby Can Read. Created by the professor of language Dr. Robert Titzer, the program takes advantage of the relatively short window of about 5 years in an infants life in which learning is the most natural. Between 3 months and 5 years of age, approximately 90% of a child's brain develops, and its throughout this time that children are 'sponges,' soaking in and processing information at incredibly high rates.

Your Baby Can Read uses interactivity to teach language by taking advantage of heightened brain development. The program mainly focuses on the seeing and hearing senses, and is included on 5 DVDs which are to be utilized for 6 to 7 months. The infant is presented with a word; the word is pronounced slowly and articulately; and an arrow follows simultaneously beneath the word at the same tempo. The infant then sees a real baby demonstrating what the word means. The infant student is then given the chance to speak the word and perform the action to reinforce the connection even more.

The assumption made by the program and its developers (which is supported by literacy research) is that children are more likely to succeed in school if given a jump start at an early age. And, if they succeed in school, they are more likely to not only stay in school but to perform exceptionally well.

There are also additional printed materials available for use with the 5 DVD Your Baby Can Read program. A set of 82 double-sided, colorful vocabulary cards, a 50 card word game, a set of 5 lift-a-flap books, a parent's how-to guide, a music CD, and a workshop DVD are all included with the full program.

Types of HD DVD Software

Read DVD Shop Types of HD DVD Software

HD DVD or High Definition Digital Video Disc is a type of disc format manufactured by Toshiba. It provides a high definition video for great video quality and it is specially designed to store up to 60GB of data depending on the layer and its physical size. However, it is no longer produced due to the existence of Blu-ray discs. However, there are still a lot of people who are still using this type of this and to read the format of the disc it requires the HD DVD software. Here, I would like to explain to you on several software available that are designed to cater for various purposes.

The first type of software that helps to read the HD DVD is the DVD burning software. Just like other burning software, it transfers the data from your computer and places them into the disc. You can burn those discs in two ways. One is to burn files and documents where you can just drag or load the files into the software and start burning your disc. As for burning movies or other videos, it requires some strict procedure in order to burn them correctly. Look at the help section for the proper method.

Second HD DVD software that caters this format is DVD conversion software. You should know that there are a lot of formats available in storing data. Not every player can play HD DVD and this software plays a very important role to enable the disc to read at other players. For instance, we can change the '.avi' format into '.mkv' for better video quality and compatibility.

Lastly, there is the DVD copying software that offers you to make a copy of the disc content into your computer or we call it to write the files into the computer. By doing so, you can burn the content of the earlier disc into another disc.
