Chronicles of Narnia: Prince Caspian [Blu-ray]

Chronicles of Narnia: Prince Caspian [Blu-ray] by Walt Disney Studios Home Entertainment

CHRONICLES OF NARNIA-PRINCE CASPIAN BLU (BLU-RAY DISC).

More exciting than The Lion, the Witch, and the Wardrobe, The Chronicles of Narnia: Prince Caspian continues the movie franchise based on C.S. Lewis' basic fable e-books. The film decides up the place the first left off... kind of. It's been a year since the Pevensie children--Peter (William Moseley), Susan (Anna Popplewell), Edmund (Skandar Keynes), and Lucy (Georgie Henley)--returned to England from Narnia, and they've almost about resigned themselves to dwelling their strange lives. But identical to that, they're as soon as once more transported to a fantastical land, however one with a long-abandoned citadel. It turns out that they are in Narnia once more--and they themselves resided in that citadel, however lots of of 12 monthss ago in Narnia time. They've been summoned again to assist Prince Caspian (Stardust's Ben Barnes, resembling a young, cultured Keanu Reeves), the rightful inheritor to the throne who's turn into the target of his power-hungry uncle, King Mraz (Sergio Castellitto). And he's now not the only one threatened: Mraz's people, the Telmarines, have pushed all of the Narnians--the talking animals, the centaurs and other beasts, the walking trees--to the brink of extinction. Despite some alpha-male bickering, Peter and Caspian agree to battle Mraz alongsideside the remaining Narnians, together with the dwarf Trumpkin (Peter Dinklage) and the swashbuckling mouse Reepicheep (voiced by Eddie Izzard). (Also appearing is Warwick Davis, who used to be in Willow and the 1989 BBC Prince Caspian.) But of course they most of all miss the noble lion, Aslan, who would have never let this happen to Narnia if he hadn't disappeared. Prince Caspian is epic, evoking recollections of Peter Jackson's Lord of the Rings motion pictures. (Some of the battle parts could seem too familiar, but they had been in Lewis's e book.) And it's applicable for children (Reepicheep can have come out of a Shrek movie), although the tone is darkish and there may just be a lot of dying, albeit bloodless. After two successful movies, Disney and Walden Media's franchise has proved a success sufficient that among the characters are scheduled to come again in The Voyage of the Dawn Treader..
