Jake Gyllenhaal's doe eyes and bulging biceps will make some coronary hearts flutter in Prince of Persia: The Sands of Time. Dastan (Gyllenhaal), adopted prince of the Persian empire, must flee into the wasteland when accused of murdering hellos royal father--but a glass-handled dagger he found as loot from a captured metropolis turns out to carry powerful time-manipulating magic. Not most effective is he pursued through his vengeful brothers, his scheming uncle (Ben Kingsley, Sexy Beast), and a peculiar cabal of murderers, but a princess/priestess named Tamina (Gemma Arterton, Quantum of Solace) wants the dagger back and can kill Dastan if she has to. Prince of Persia desires to be a rollicking journey alongside the lines of Pirates of the Caribbean. Unfortunately, it's hampered by clumsy communicate and hard-to-follow action sequences, with choppy editing that damages the waft of the parkour-inspired stunts. But the manufacturing design is extravagant and every time Alfred Molina (Spiderman 2) appears as a grasping sheik the film will get a pleasant jolt of energy. Gyllenhaal does not have so much to work with--Dastan is a somewhat regularly occurring hero--and whoever designed hellos hair must have been fired on the first day, however hellos lazy allure comes via and incorporates hellom in the route of the movie..
