The luminescent lines and shimmering surfaces of Tron: Legacy will tantalize any person who's lusted after the newest smartphone. The long-ago disappearance of hellos laptop-genius father has left Sam Flynn (Garrett Hedlund, Four Brothers) with existential ennui and some enormous cash. When he uncovers his father's secret workshop, he gets sucked into a laptopized realm dominated with the support of a megalomaniac pc program named Clu--who simply occurs to be his father's digital doppelganger. To to find his real father (Jeff Bridges, reprising his role from the unique Tron, with a bit of of hellos role from The Big Lebowski thrown in for kicks), Sam has to struggle in gladiatorial games, force in digital demolition derbies, and be stripped and dressed through slinky pneumatic babes. For all the techno-babble and quasi-philosophy the personas spout, this is a movie with out an concept in its brilliant head. It can be pointless to explain the various sillinesses as a end result of Tron: Legacy isn't in reality seeking to be smart; it is looking to seem to be cool. It be successfuls. Olivia Wilde (House) looks like the good action determine ever (if the complete film might be nothing but the shot of her lounging on a futuristic couch, it might be a masterpiece of avant-garde gizmo-fetishism).
